Here are two new bespoke cake designs also from this year I managed to photograph but have yet to blog. The first was a lovely four tier Wedding cake called Vintage Candy Stripe in soft candy pink, ivory and a seafoam hue to match the Wedding details. It featured a personal monogram, hand cut sugar lace and was topped with a large sugar peony.
The wedding reception was held at a beautiful country house in East Sussex. Bride Caroline and groom Tim sent me a lovely email as soon as they returned from their honeymoon, an excerpt of which can be found in our current testimonials. It’s lovely to receive such kind words from my clients.
This second cake was for a private Birthday party held in a coastal venue. The delicate seahorse being the clients favourite animal. In addition to the cake we created our seahorse cookie pops to match, to be given as gifts for all the guests.
The ombre ruffle cake was made in tones of mint and aqua with delicate piped pearls, moulded shells and starfish and featured sugar seahorses covered in edible silver leaf. Our design would also be beautiful and very fitting I think, translated for a coastal wedding.
